As discussed yesterday, HSI and HSCEI are one of the few equity markets in the world that are in a downtrend. However, today they have opened up and could be triggering my BUY stops. HSI becomes a BUY above 21745 and HSCEI above 12840.

Commodities like Gold and Silver and in a downtrend while Crude and Copper continue to trend higher. The Dollar Index has consolidated in the last few days around the 77-78 levels.

The market that helps me make a living is acting like one of the Zombies in EVIL DEAD. I actually walk out of the office and return in an hour to find the Nifty at the same levels and my colleagues doing the same thing they were doing one hour earlier i.e. cracking jokes at the expense of the other. It is a surreal experience. I continue to be long with a stop and reverse level of 5045.

It is New Year Eve and time to make some resolutions. I resolve to continue to write this note everyday next year. (Do not tell me later that I did not warn you). I resolve to lose weight and get fit. (I have done this every year and it is almost like a tradition now-to resolve to lose weight I mean). I resolve to make a lot of money by trading right. I resolve to talk to my clients more often. (This of all my resolutions should really worry you). I can go on but I am afraid that you will stop reading if I continue.

So for some wishes now. Naturally I wish that this is really a HAPPY and prosperous YEAR. But if there is one wish that I could really ask for then I wish for just a JUST year. I hope and wish for a year with less injustice and inequity.
