That Man Bolt

As somebody correctly pointed out, I made a big mistake in my note today. I should have done the right thing and not talked about a miserable excuse of a sport called cricket but should have talked about the fact that we have been lucky to live in a time when history is being made and should celebrate the fact instead.
I am talking about Usain Bolt. After making Beijing Olympics athletic events his own and nonchanlantly breaking world records in the process, he has focussed on the 200 meters and made it his own. The ease with which he has broken the world record there and the incredible gulf between him and the next best shows that we are witnessing something special, spectacular and probably a once in a lifetime kind of event. This is probably even more special than the Roger Bannister's breaking of the 4 minute mile barrier. It boggles the mind to think of what is humanly possible for an athlete. May be a sub 9 second 100 m dash and a sub 19 second 200 m? Nothing seems impossible!!!.
