Moral Moorings

The Dollar continues to dip. After holding flat yesterday, it has started trading lower again today. The S&P had a relatively quiet day yesterday but the trend is still up.

I am long the Nifty from 4750 levels and will continue the long positions but for some very sharp sell off. I intend to add to my long positions above 4975. Not sure that we will see those levels today.

Good that ends the uninteresting part of the morning note. Those who are only interested in the earlier part of the note and are not bothered to read my other stuff can stop reading now and go on to do whatever interesting work you have been doing!!!

We know that we live in a world that has lost its moral moorings when we hear of the case of Manu Sharma. Here is a person, serving a life sentence for murder, who was given parole just because his father is a politician with connections. The best part is that nobody would have been the wiser but for the fact that Manu remained true to his nature and got into some trouble in a nightclub that he was visiting. The media got into the picture and the heat was too much and he finally had to go back to jail.

There is a cyclone warning in Mumbai today and normally I would not be heading out to work when there is even a hint of such trouble. But I have left something important at the office yesterday and I have to ensure that I go there and get it back. Such is life!!!. And you know what!!! My wife read the note and said that she was glad that I have left something at work. Man she wants me out!!!
