The Joys of Cricket

I do not know why I write this note. What kind of masochism makes me do it? I mean it is one thing to be wrong and quite another to announce it to everybody. I had cut my short positions and gone long on Tuesday. Yesterday I said that I will wait for a negative close before worrying about stops for my long positions. As luck would have it, the market did close in the negative and I have to now worry about cutting my long and going short. As I see it, if we trade below yesterdays low of 5870 on the futures I will cut my long positions and go short on the market.
Of the three short trades suggested in stocks, two got triggered. That is I am now short Punj at 106 and IOB at 144.75. Two long positions continue from the past i.e. BOI and CBK.
The Euro moved lower and is close to my SELL levels of 1.3165. That too only after a couple of days of triggering a BUY. As you can see, things are not looking too hot for me in the trading department. To take my mind off all this, I resolve to watch the South Africa India test match that will start today. Any cricket that is played away from the subcontinent is worth watching I guess. Similarly anything that takes my mind off the markets is worth doing!!
