Inspirational Golf

The markets have closed in the green. I endured a day of pain because I am short on both the STT and the LTT. The buy levels on STT is above 5392 and the buy trigger on LTT is above 5610. Both levels are far away and I hope that the Nifty does not trigger it.

I go back to my favorite topic, the Euro. It rallied today and broke above my STT buy level of 1.4340. But the LTT buy level is still far off at 1.4500  The Greek govt cleared the no confidence vote and has bought itself one week. If the austerity measures are passed then the Euro could cross 1.4500 and trigger a longer term rally in risk assets.

Since nothing else really matters I will turn my attention to something that everybody should talk about. It is inspirational and we can all do with a bit of inspiration in these times of Doom and Gloom. The story I am talking of is the incredible win of Rory Mcilroy in the US Open Golf. At the age of 22, he won the US Open with an incredible margin of 8 shots over the next best Jason Day. His score of 268 i.e. 16 under par was the best ever for the US Open. To put this win in perspective, 16 under par is better than the sum total of 14 under par posted by -hold your breath-the previous 10 champions put together. His win was so huge that the Jason Day who came second by a margin of 8 strokes carded 276 for an 8 under par which would have been enough to win the championship in 26 of the previous 30 US Opens. He did not just win the Championship, he decimated the opposition. I wish I could trade like that!

Now that I have written about Rory, let us come back to our mundane world of trading. I will cut my short positions and go long > 5392 as per STT and will cut my short positions and go long > 5610 as per LTT
