I have felt a lot of emotions in the last few days. The primary emotion was fear that the financial system that sustains me is unraveling. I am not certain that this fear is rational. However, there can be no doubting the  fact that the system has grown so big and is so interconnected that no one person can possibly understand the ramifications of a particular event or a decision. Certainly not career politicians who probably are even more clueless than the theoretical economists who are supposed to be taking the decisions on monetary and fiscal matters.

It then begs the question as to who really is in charge here and who knows what the real issues are? Even if one believes that the spiraling debt is the real issue here, then can career politicians be relied upon to take the right decisions which are often really the tough decisions to take? My answer is NO to the above questions and that really is the source of my worry.

Since I do not have the ability to comprehend all the problems and their various solutions, I try and do the things that I can do which is trade. I remain short and will now cut my short positions only above 5076.
