I am long from 4710 levels. My system requires me to sell the long positions and go short if Nifty falls below 4736. This I will do without worrying about the consequences for my short positions of some soothing noises coming from Europe or some soothing data coming from the US. If you notice carefully, I have said a lot of things in one short and sweet sentence. One, that I am a trained and disciplined system trader who will courageously stick to his system. Two that data from the US can be good and finally it also implies that only soothing noises can be made in Europe. There is no hope of soothing data or some real relief to the Euro.
Now to come to the point of the title." When the going gets tough.... press the "reset" button. This is specially true when one plays a video game. When faced with a problem in any game that I play, I immediately reset the difficulty level to "Easy". Somebody has forgotten to put a "Reset button" to the market. They have set the difficulty level to "Highly advanced player" in this last one year and now there seems to be no way to change it around to "Easy". The same seems to be true with most business in the world. We seem to have moved up the difficulty level to the highest difficulty and now cannot find the "Reset button"
Hey that seems to be a nice metaphor to describe even the world we live in. It can be fittingly described as a video game where every generation moves up one difficulty level. Unfortunately the game designers just do not seem to have a "Reset button" or a way to tone down the difficulty. Or maybe that is part of the fun. Maybe every player or this massive multi player game has to find his own "Reset button" and finding it is part of the fun of the game.
Finally I think that MS Dhoni should read this note. He needs to be able to find a way to reset the difficulty level to "Easy" for Indian cricket team!
