It never fails to amaze me. I mean the headlines of various news agencies. Todays takes the cake. It says "Asia stocks fall as Moodys downgrades six European countries" So till yesterday, investors did not know that there was a problem in those countries. It needed a Moodys to enlighten them about the precarious nature of their public finances. What would we have all done without the yeoman services rendered by these incredible virtues of finance-the Credit agencies?
But while the credit agencies did what they did in the years leading to the 2008 crisis and are continuing to stumble their way around this mess, the news agencies continue to come out with these hilarious headlines and really make my day. Whenever one feels bereft of ideas or when is a little down, all one has to do is to read the headlines. I am now addicted. It is almost as if I need my daily fix of the news headlines.
So after giving myself a small upper, I have to worry about my own trade. I am long on the Nifty but will cut my long positions and go short if Nifty futures breaks below 5343.
